The Robin Klassnik Bee

My work is in the Tate, Arts Council, Artangel, MONA, and MTA and SAF collections

I am hoping to sell this image. It began with a bee that I found dead on a window sill in Rome. I was there to retrace the steps of my missing step-sister. I had been reading books I found in her room. One was an alchemical text about the relevance of the bee and the spider, only the bee can find enlightenment, the spider, the lone philosopher can not. It was at this moment of reading this Rosicrucian book that I saw the body of the bee. From that point on I used the finding of dead bees as a method. When I found one I would keep it and take note of my location, my thoughts and my state of mind. The installation that became an episodic work called 'It has to be this way'. The bees I found are archived in boxes. I have drawn a bee that I found on my way to see Robin Klassnik just after I returned from Rome. There is a novella with this work. On finding the bee I asked Robin to chose 9 images from my archive (all related to my sister). This bee is the one that instigated part of the novella. I am selling this edition of 9 prints at £200 on A4 archival paper. Let me know by direct message if you want one. I still have some x
